Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?

Sadly, our town has yet to see any snow this year. I still have hopes that we will get at least one good fluffy deep-to-your-knees snow before winter is over. I know you folks who live east and north of me want to throw a pie in my face at that request.

Pecan, please.

Until that day (of snow, not pie), I did get to build a snowman. Two to be exact. My grandsons are 7 and 5. As all kids do, they cannot help themselves but count their packages under the tree. So this year I decided to wrap their gifts using an idea I've seen several times on Pinterest. I've seen these box trios done as snowmen, Santas and Grinches. It was super easy to do, and I can't wait to see their little faces when they come over for Christmas.

I got my boxes from Home Depot. Pictured here is the extra small, small and medium size boxes. Each of these boxes can hold several gifts (depending on how large the toy is). I did have to use bubble wrap to fill in the extra room in each one. I used plain white wrapping paper to wrap each section and orange and black construction paper for the eyes, nose, mouth and buttons. Throw on some winter scarves and hats, and you're all done! Easy peasy. Added bonus - these little guys add to my Christmas decor that I placed throughout my home right after Thanksgiving. *see gallery below.
